EVERYTHING!
Hottest Colors:pearl, sexy shad, shad, watermelon, black/blue
Time Of Day:All day
We are back at the lake and all is right in the world again!
While we didn’t get as much rain this summer as we would have hoped, the fish don’t seem to mind one bit. Right now we are sitting at about 50% lake level and expect it to rise a bit more before the rains fully halt, as overnight showers are still common leading into October. If opening weekend is anything to go by, we are expecting another fantastic fishing season for our clients!
Numbers are not high, but the big fish are out and roaming. It seems like every lure in the box is working to get that big bite. Manuel’s boat reporting that all of the Baccarac staples boated big bass this weekend as Swimbaits, Jigs with Yamamoto Senkos, 10 and 12″ Powerworms, Magnum Rat-L-Traps, XD 8 and 10, and hollow belly swimmers on underspins all hooked up.
The majority of the fish are coming deep in 20ft or more, but there was a decent topwater bite early morning as well.
As always, the best in bass is putting out the big fish with the average fish this weekend was around 7lbs with many 9 and 10lbs fish being weighed in.
