Yellow magic, senkos rigged wacky, 1 oz jigs tipped with heavy senkos or flukes, 1/2 oz rattletraps
Hottest Colors:Various
Time Of Day:All day
Big numbers are being reported by all boats across the board. Mr. Big Bass, Gil Wright, is currently on the water with lodge favorite Denis Bootenhuff, and they are sacking 7 and 8 pounders on topwater. Of course, Sixto is on the water trying to work his magic while fishing with Justin and Ed Newell. Justin has had a good jig bite at the time of this report. Also the man who is always welcomed, Bill Benson, is putting numbers in the boat. Frank Weeks is here this week, as well, along with Big Bass Hunter Barry Rich who has already put a 10.5 pounder in the boat. So, expect 60 to 100 fish per boat if this trend continues. One more thing, it’s been great to see all the old friends returning.
We have open seats February 21 on private flights. Call 806-679-4433 for details on this and many other available plane options!

Hottest Colors:various
Time Of Day:all day
Minor to major cold fronts have pushed the numbers down over this past weekend. Can’t say that the cold snap helped at all. This weekend averaged 40 to 50 caught a day, versus the 70 to 90 a day we were seeing before the cold hit. Male bass have been running the banks and are easy to catch. We’ve seen big fish up to 8.1 pounds over the last three days.

big jigs, swimbaits, topwater, senkos, big lizard
Hottest Colors:various
Time Of Day:all day
Across the board, we have been seeing excellent numbers of fish, with the biggest bass in the past couple of days being a 9.15 pounder. Boats are catching 70 to 90 bass a day. The cold weather has not had a negative effect on the fishing, but once again killed all the crops in the area. Demand for lake water after the replant will be high going into February.
We have two seats open February 14th and three seats open February 21st, both out of Fort Worth. Call 806-679-4433 to book now!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE BIG BASS

rattletraps, senkos, flukes, and topwater
Hottest Colors:watermelon, green pumpkin
Time Of Day:morning
Looks like our favorite from Japan, Mr. Yokoi, landed many nice bass using yellow magic topwater and rattletraps (made in Japan version). The cold air is staying strong in the area, but has not changed fishing much on the lake. The continuing high water level is helping the conditions, as well. We are seeing 50 fish a day and many solid 3 pound bass, with bass up to 10 pounds caught. It looks like the lake is in great shape for the spawn.
From Mr. Yokoi:
“I’ve come back to Japan from Lake Baccarac after having a happy time.
This time, I can send you a lucky report .
I caught 2 grandes 11lb on a Wacky Senko (watermelon) and 10lb on a Jigs (green pumpkin).
Every grande was caught in the morning time.
Top water fishing was very good, Rio Riko popper is my go to bait.
Thank you Mr.Terry Hollan, Super Guide Sixto, Manuel.
See you next time, Lake Baccarac.”
We have one open seat out of Oklahoma City on January 14 and two open seats out of Fort Worth on January 21, flying directly to the lake. Call or text 806-679-4433 for details.
