October 26th to November 1st offered the finest fall fishing we have seen in 11 years. The lake is 99% full, and the bass (big bass) are plentiful. Don’t miss this resurgence of Lake Baccarac. Up the river is offering numbers, and Papachaw is full of 8 to 11 pound bass.

A recent group from Amarillo, Texas, repeated over and over “why is the lodge not full? This is the best fishing in the world.”

We have 1 seat on a private flight departing November 7th out of Fort Worth, as well as 4 seats on a private flight departing November 13th out of Fort Worth (returning November 17th).

WOW! Everyone visiting the lodge has caught a 10+ pound bass, and that includes two at 13 pounds.

This week has been a continuation of the excellent fishing that we have predicted. Up the river, you can find plenty of numbers of 2 to 3 pound bass, and in Papachaw the monsters are biting.

The lake level is at 99% full.

The lake is 99% full with the water clear and trees submerged all over the lake. This is a brand new lake compared to what we’ve been seeing lately, and the fishing is beyond excellent. Big fish are being caught in all the key areas: humps, cuts, and so many monsters in 20 feet of water.

Bill Hicks’ group of 8 had what they called an “excellent trip.” They fished the front side of the full moon and were able to catch and release fish up to 12.5 pounds. The humps that guides have identified are productive all day long.

We currently have a group of 6 fishing the back side of the full moon and they are having continued success. Ed Newell has been hammering the 6 to 8 pounders, and Bill Holekamp’s boat has been catching fish up to 12 pounds.

The numbers of fish caught are sporadic depending on your willingness to listen to your guide. Listen to your guide!

We are continuing to catch plenty of big ones as the water is high and fish are hanging around up in the tree tops. Some boats are catching over 80 a day during certain periods of their trip. The air is getting a little cooler, and we are looking forward to topwater fishing soon.

We just love this time year on the lake. Customers are returning, the lake is beautiful, and this the highest we have seen the water in 8 years. It’s way up in the brush! You know what that means – big fish!

The last 3 days produced lots of nice fish (7 to 9 pound bass), though numbers have slowed from the previous week. These bass are full of food but have room for more. The next group arrives on the 7th and we will keep you posted after that trip.

The airstrip is open, and we are receiving many customers there, as well through Culiacan and Los Mochis.
