We are normally closed during the rainy season but this season we have had a couple of groups. I just returned from the Lodge with a group of 4 Amigos from Texas. Big, Big rains and Lake Baccarac is coming very up very nicely . The fishing could not have been any better with the fish very shallow because of the rising water. Crazy Joe Dillard fished with me the fish day and caught a 16.1 whose picture is already postd at the Lodge. The monster fish was caught in Sonny’s cove in very shallow water. During the heavy, heavy rain the fish feed on the surafce. Tom Secrest caught a 15.2 fishing with Juan in the same cove. Dalton caught 4 fish over 9 near the Damn and Dee caught one over 10 and one over 11. These fish where caught the first day at the Lodge during the rain. The second day was also very good with tons of big fish. I rate the fishing right now as excellent. We are working hard getting the Lodge ready for the regular season kick off.
SIMPLY THE BEST

A short recap of the best fishing I have ever had and also a word of thanks to the staff at the Lodge. Before I say much more I will make this claim “ Lake Baccarac is the best Lake in the world “
The private flight arrange for our group was first class and could not have been better. We landed at Bacubirito at 2:10 before 3 pm I was on the water and within the first 10 minutes I caught a 15.6 that’s right a fish over 15 pounds> by 4 pm the rain was like a waterfall at the guide’s request we continued to fish near the Hotel. Using nothing but crankbaits I caught 4 more fish over 13 pounds. Our group of 7 anglers all had similar results using everything from crankbaits to big spinnerbaits and big jigs. Just an unreal trip. Over the next 1 ½ days we caught all classes of fish Huge to small. The lake is alive with the best and toughest bass I have ever seen. I WILL BE BACK
ANOTHER GREAT TRIP
